FaceTime was first introduced by Apple in 2010 with the launch of the iPhone 4. Since then this feature gained a big popularity. The FaceTime feature become more flexible, being used on Macs, iPad 2 and iPod touch.

Even this feature is so great, there are some people that don’t like or use Apple products, and FaceTime can only be used between two iDevices. FaceTime also needs an Wi-Fi connection to be used, so here are 6 of the best alternatives to this amazing feature.

1. Skype

I remember when Skype was launched, and started to use its video call feature I was simply amazed of how good it works. Untill then everyone used Yahoo!’s video call feature, but the delay was extremely big and from time to time it was freezing. I was very happy when Skype came into Apple’s App Store, cause its just an amazing thing to have video calls through Skype. Video calls and voice calls can be placed from an iPhone, Android, PC or Mac over Wi-Fi or 3G connection.
