SanDisk X100 SSD Promises Storage Capacity and Speed

SanDisk is ready to launch on the market the new X100 SSD in several form factors. That includes designs for the desktop, netbook and notebook user. The drives are very economical needing 150mW when active and just 75mW when on standby.

The SanDisk X100 SSD performance is up to 500MB per second sequential read and up to 420 MB per second sequential write. Also the drives are rated for up to 2 million hours mean time beweteen failure.
