I know you love your Android device and you want the coolest apps and games for it. Here I present you the top 10 best Android games for your beloved device.
Back in 2010, I remember trying to find some nice Android games but the Market was full of ripoffs and very incomplete games. Back then the iPhone had the best (and I think it still is) games with nice graphics, while Android was just a waste of time. Finally, I ended playing Yeti.. very dissapointing.
The following games were tested on a mid-range Anrdoid smartphone and they should 100% work on a higher-end Android handset.
10. Jewellust ($2.95)
Jewellust is pretty much the same with Bubble Breaker which can be found on Windows Mobile 6.1 devices. It is a simple, but addictive game. All you have to do is to tap colored jewels to line them up in a row. If three or more jewels are in a line, they vanish and more jewels fall.
9. Tank Hero (FREE)
If you ever play the tank game in Nintendo’s Wii Play collection, the Tank Hero is pretty much the same. Addictive, simple and fun! Your main goal is to destroy other tanks, while some of them are faster, some shoot missils, some drop mines, and some are just plain crafty.
8. Defender (FREE)
Here is a better, polished version of a defend-the-castle game. Defender, is a game where robots are attacking your castle and your goal is to protect the castle by tapping on robots to shoot them.
7. Fruit Ninka ($1.24)
Don’t tell me you never heard or seen this game, because I don’t trust you. Fruit Ninja is that kind of game that any beginner or advanced smartphone user loves and becomes addicted to it. It is a high score game where fruits flies into the air and you must slice it before it falls.
6. NinJump (FREE)
NinJump was practically imported from the iPhone App Store, being a new entry in a genre that was pioneered on smartphones. The game is entirely based on timing, you need a single button to fight off killer squirrels, throwing stars, and exploding bombs.
5. Cut the Rope ($1.02)
Another addictive game that first appeared on iOS and then it was ported to Android. I think it is the second most-played game since Angry Birds appeared. The subject of the Cut the Rope is pretty simple. You have to feed baby monster “Om Nom” with some candy, by cutting the ropes and allow candies to fall into baby’s mouth.
4. Air Attack HD Part 1 (FREE)
Air Attack HD is a top-down arcade shooter in the style of Spae Invaders, but it looks very good on Android. The action of this game is to dodge enemy fighters and destroy them. Even if it isn’t a very innovative game, it still delivers some solid action.
3. Toki Tori ($2.99)
Toki Tori is a very nice game which is similar to Abduction series and Doodle Jump. In this game you are a hatched chicken and you need to save your trapped friends.
2. Angry Birds (Free)
I think there is no list which presents the best games of a mobile platform that doesn’t have the Angry Birds on the first places. In my opinion Angry Birds revolutioned the arcade games. With over 140 million downloads on iOS and Android, it is the most played game on mobile. The main goal of this game is to catapult a bird to kill some pigs.. It doesn’t need too much intelligence to play, but one thing I know for sure: it is a 100% addictive game!
1. Battleheart ($2.99)
Battleheart has a real-time touch battle system that is simple enough for anyone to learn, it manages to keep battles fresh and interesting. The game has casters, healers, tanks, and most basic classes you’d expect from a game of its kind.
